The German Requiem Concerts

Német Requiem

A special treat is in store from the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra to the general public  at the city’s Basilica at 7pm on October 29, 2014, as well as the day after at the same time in Veszprém’s concert hall called „ A Hangvilla” (The Tuning Fork).

The occasion is the two religious holidays, the All Saints’ Day and the All Souls’ Day, for which the seven movements of the magnificient German Reqiuem by J. Brahms will befittingly provide the music. The vocal solo parts will be delivered by soprano Beatrix Fodor and bariton András Kelemen while the orchestra jointly with the mixed choir of the city of Veszprém will be conducted by Austrian conductor Georg Kugi.
Tickets can be purchased in Veszprém at the Hangvilla Concert Hall. Also, at Richter Hall for the Győr performance as well as at the Basilica from 6pm.
