Audi Hungaria became GYFZ’s new premier sponsor

The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra and the Audi Hungaria Motor Kft. has lately secured a 3 year sponsorship contract which was formally announced on March 13, 2015, minutes before the orchestra kicked off its scheduled Richter Hall concert at 7pm.

Acting manager of  the Audi factory in Győr, Thomas Faustmann, GYFZ director Géza Fűke, and Minister of Human Resources, Zoltán Balog, all greeted the audience present calling the event one of the most significant days in the history of the city’s orchestra. Mr. Faustmann stressed that as his company develops in Hungary their awareness is raised of an increasing responsibility toward the general culture of the country. Mr. Fűke first expressed his gratitude over the sponsorship deal then talked about the orchestra’s now thus-fortified commitment to live up to the new responsibilities as well as to further raise the standards of the establishment. He called attention to the fact that this cooperation is a great opportunity for both parties involved to serve the comminity and further the reputation of the respective companies.

Minister Balog laid emphasis on the importance of supporting. He said the encounter and marriage of economy and culture is invariably good news to all segments of society. He complimented on Audi’s exemplary initiative that apart from now officially supporting GYFZ it has already been allocating funds to support the Győr Ballet and the Széchenyi University. 
As a fun moment of the ceremony GYFZ director Mr. Fűke gave Mr. Faustmann the small but charming gift of a baton and assured the manager to some time during their partnership provide him with an opportunity to conduct the orchestra himself.

The ensuing concert was a worthy crowning of this notable evening. GYFZ conducted by Kálmán Berkes gave a very successful performance featuring the great, two-time Kossuth Prize winnig pianist, Zoltán Kocsis.
