CONGRATULATIONS TO DÁNIEL ANDERKÓ WHO MADE US PROUD YET AGAIN
Clarinet principal of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra, Dániel Anderkó had recently won 2nd prize at the "OPUS 2021 International Music Competition". This online contest was hosted and organized this year in April by the "Life and Art" foundation in Krakow, Poland. Applications had been accepted by musicians not older than 35 years. Our orchestras's artist came second after the points given by a 14-strong internatonal panel were all counted.
Judges were apparently especially impressed when Mr. Anderkó performed a piece composed by famous Hungarian clarinetis/teacher, Béla Kovács, which was actually is musical salute to the great German composer, Carl Maria von Weber.
"It is a most welcome practice nowadays that these online competitions are held in increasing numbers during these pandemic times" - said Mr. Anderkó. "Feedbacks like this are essential that confirm we are still on track as musicians. In addition, it is also in my orchestra's best interest to keep myself in top form and even improve".
Our company's principal clarinetist is undoubtedly in peak shape. Proofs are abundant when you listen to our online performances. Also, he was recently elected into the elite group of the 'Silverstein Works Next Generation Artists". As a result of that achievement Mr. Anderkó's portfolio has made its mark on that world-famous firm.
GYPO herewith extends its heartfelt congrats to our very own prize-winner!
