Timpani audition update

Dear participants, 
There is now a change in the process of the upcoming timpani audition scheduled for May 14, 2020. 
In the light of the latest developments of the current coronavirus situation, we now ask all participants to kindly video record the required material and send in "WeTransfer" format to the following email address: office@gyfz.hu until 4pm, May 13, 2020.

The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra is currently advertising an audition for the following position:
Timpani
Date of audition: 14th May 2020, Thursday, at 10 o’clock
Venue of audition: Richter Hall, 9021 Győr, Aradi vértanúk útja 16

Required audition material:
- Láng: 7 studi per 4 timpani – Danza Neoclassica
Highlighted excerpts with orchestra/conductor of the following works:
- L. van Beethoven: Symphony no. 1, mvmt. 3, from 1 bar before "A" to Trio, and 2nd part of Trio
- L. van Beethoven: Symphony no. 9, mvmt. 2, from bar 1 to bar 114, and from bar 177 to bar 412 (to Presto)
- L. van Beethoven: Symphony no. 9, mvmt. 4, from bar 1 to bar 30, and from bar 843 to end
- J. Brahms: Symphony no. 1, mvmt. 1, from bar 1 to bar 29
- J. Brahms: Symphony no. 1, mvmt. 4, from bar 375 to end
- A. Dvorák: Symphony no. 9, mvmt 1, from bar 1 to bar 23
- A. Dvorák: Symphony no. 9, mvmt. 3, from beginning to repeat sign, and from big number 2 to Coda sign
- B. Bartók: Concerto for Orchestra, mvmt. 4, from bar 38 to bar 51

Structure of audition:
Short introduction of candidates in the general director's office before the audition, attended also by the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra's deputy, and artistic directors.

Interested parties are encouraged to send one-page resume including contact options to orchestra's secretariat (9021 Győr, Aradi vértanúk útja 16) or via email (office@gyfz.hu) until 11th May 2020. Detailed list of audition material and sheet music thereof can be attained at the orchestra’s secretariat, or alternatively, it can be downloaded from GYPO’s website at www.gyfz.hu.
