Carnival at the Győr Aqua Center

The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra's decades-long traditional Carnival concert is held on January 24, 2019.
What makes it really special this season is the location thereof that is the Aqua Sport Center of Győr (9025 Győr, Bercsényi liget 108).

As you may guess, there has never been anything even remotely similar an event taking place in this lovely recreational establishment. Nonetheless, local chief swimming coach, Ivan Petrov, and GYPO's director, Géza Fűke, decided to follow through on their spur-of-the-moment idea and do something quirky this time around. The program of the show will be full of surprises as usual but a hint can be dropped that our selection of music will have a lot to do with water... lots of humor and fun are in store for those choosing us that evening. 
The orchestra members are to be seated on a makeshift stage build over the pool. One more unique aspect of the show is that the spa actually has rather good acoustics as is so only minimal amplification is needed. Further good news is that we will have the privilege to have the national team of the Slovakian Synchro Swimmers' participation in the show as well. Hosts of the event are our loyal radio host friend Ádám Bősze, and popular television sports commentator, Jenő Knézy junior. The show is conducted by Kálmán Berkes.   
GYPO sincerely hopes that this fun event, held under the auspices of  our season of "Tradition and Innovation" will be enjoyed around a packed poolside.
TIcket to this event can be purchased at the Ticket Office of Richter Hall, Győr, or online (jegymester.hu). Please note that season ticket owners of both GYPO and the Győr Spa resort are ablew to take advantage of a 20 percent discount respectively.
