Classics in Sopron
The second concert of the „Kekfrankos” series entitled „The Classics” is scheduled to be held at the Ferenc Liszt Conference and Cultural Center at 7pm on November 13, 2015.
The first item of the program is Felix Mendelssohn’s overture called „The Hebrides” composed in 1830. The work was inspired by one of Scotsland’s landmark natural sites, the crashing waves by the famous Fingal caves. The concerto of the evening is none other that the timelessly gorgeous piano concerto in a minor by Robert Schumann performed by Balázs Szokolay. The selection of the concert is dedicated to the grand masters of German music reflected ever so perfectly in the conclusive item of the program, Beethoven’s 4th symphony in B flat major. The event is conducted by the internationally increasingly acclaimed Tibor Bényi. Besides the great musical experience our dear audience members will be able to enjoy a small scale wine tasting of the Wine Life Winery brand selection.
Do come along to take advantage of this great evenings offerings!
