DOGADIN
It is a great relief and pleasure for us to see that the pandemic is slowly but surely easing up on us and apparently it has reached its final stages. This has brought us to the moment when we could acrually open the doors of Richter Hall at last. Nonetheless, caution is still our number one priority in terms of caring for public health. Our János Richter Season Ticket series presentation dubbed "Dogadin" could finally be held in front of an audience at 7pm, on June 1, 2021.
This was one of the main concerts presented by us in this season with a rather substantial program starting with Eugene Dohnanyi's Symphonic Minutes, followed by the famous "Poem" by E. Chausson, and the upbeat masterpiece by Camille Saint-Saëns called "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. After the intermission GYPO performed Piotr Tschaikowsky's grandiose 2nd Symphony in C minor. The concert was conducted by Kálmán Berkes, and was recorded by Radio Bartók to be aired at a later date.
At this point we would herewith like to bring it to your attention that public events like live performances can only be attended by those able to present a valid proof of vaccination. It will be checked upon by our staff before entering the hall.
The above mentioned program had incidentally been played the day before the Győr concert, on May 31, in the Vörösmarty Theater of Székesfehérvár. This event had been broadcast live on both "Hungarian Philharmony Facebook", and YouTube channels. For more information please click HERE.
