Élmény a fülnek!
The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2014/15 concert series dubbed „Pleasure to the ears” is to commence at 7pm on September 13, 2014, with the first performance of the Artur Nikisch Season Ticket Series.
We have prepared some real exciting programs for you performed by some of our country’s, and the world’s outstanding artists who are sure to dazzle our Richter Hall audience. We’ll soon host here in Győr the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra that is scheduled to perform two of Aram Khatchaturian’s works, one of them being a staple violin repertoir piece, the violin concerto in D minor, played by one of Hungary’s youngest Kossuth Prize winners, the vastly talented Kristóf Baráti who also has been the winner of more than one international violin competitions and already is a leading figure in the country’s classical music scene. In the second half of that concert we’ll hear the concert stage version of Béla Bartók’s one-act opera „The Bluebeard’s Castle” that takes an in-depth look into the intricate man-woman relationship issues. Much to our luck we were able to book one of today’s undoubtedly best sopranos for the role of Judith, the much celebrated Ildikó Komlósi. Her partner in the role of the Bluebeard in this rather challenging opera is to be the Hungarian Opera House’s leading bariton, András Palerdi.
