Spectacular musical and visual experience at the Audi Arena

Once upon a time a five year young boy has sat at the piano and two years later composed his first song. His name was Péter Bence. This prodigious talented Hungarian lad has since "exploded" the Internet with his videos having been viewed by over a billion people. That feat has incidentally earned him a place in the Guinness Book of Records! 

Péter has already performed with the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra a year ago and it is our great pleasure to continue our partnership this year too. Do not miss his September 8, 2023 show at the Audi Arena, Győr, if you like to be awe-inspired by lots of special sound and visual effects!

"Since we are a regional top institution we ought to be open to musical novelties if we want to entertain our faithful audiences at the highest levels. Bence and we have agreed to enter into partnership for more than one production thus we have made some daring plans for the future. The "baptism of fire" concert took place last year at the Cave Theater of Fertőrákos. This upcoming event is the continuation of that here in Győr" - said general director Géza Fűke. 

Péter Bence earned his place in the Guinness Book of Records as "fastest pianist in the world" when in 2012 he had managed to play 765 notes in one minute. In his own arrangements he offers a unique fusion of pop/rock and classical music thus pushing the limits of the respective genres. His trademark additional element is the use of the piano as a percussion instrument, utilizing the entire body of the piano to that end. 

The young artist gave his large-scale debut performance in our country in May, 2023, although this was hardly his first appearance in his native land. As mentioned above he had already played with GYPO in August 2022 in Fertőrákos. 

"It felt like a homecoming when me and the Győr orchestra had found one another. I sincerely hope that it was not a one-time, fly-by-night success story" - says the world-famous Hungarian and also added that parties involved wish to elevate this partnership to international level.

Many thousands of music lovers in the Győr Arena may enjoy the virtuosity of Péter Bence and witness first hand as he dismantles the boundries of the various musical genres by playing his own transcriptions, and compositions solo as well as accompanied by the Győr Phil. His style of playing the piano undoubtedly offers a sublime level of enjoyment to all present. Participants of the show are to follow fresh musical concepts this time by rehearsing a brand new set of numbers thereby enlarging the repertoire again under the baton of Márton Rácz.
