Symphonic ABBA - Saint Stephen Days
It is no exaggeration to claim that pop group ABBA has undoubtedly been one of the genre's most iconic formations. Winners of the 1974 eurovísion song contest the two women/two men group went on to have a fairy tale career and recorded more than one hundred songs of their own creation. Over 400 million copies of their albums were sold during their great years of existence. Although they decided to end their career as a group in 1982 their catchy tunes held up their popularity ever since. Even four decades after their disbanding there is hardly a day on our planet when some of their beautiful songs are not played.
Symphonic versions of the most well-known ABBA songs are to be played for the Mosonmagyaróvár audience as one of the Saint Stephen Days performances by the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra. Guest singers include some of Hungary's most celebrated stars such as Lilla Polyák, Andrea Malek, Tibor Kocsis, and Bálint Magyar, conducted by István Silló. The host of the evening: Ádám Bősze.
